COMING SOON!!!

The official Walter the Frankenstein Monster theme song!!! Hopefully we will have the song soon for the enjoyment of one and all!!

Also one of my friends has offered to use Walter's story as the inspiration for a piece of short fiction. He is currently working on a first draft and we hope to have the story posted in the next few months.

Welcome to the official on-line vault for all things "Walter"!!!

What's that you say???   You've never heard of Walter the Frankenstein Monster?!?!?

Click here to read TODAY'S POST in the journal of Walter's saga. You can also click here for an introduction to Walter, myself (Raul), and his story. Also, please feel free to read and browse through the journal's archives. This page is just starting out, so we are still working on a F.A.Q. (assuming that we get any questions, let alone frequent ones), the guestbook, and a discussion page. In the meantime, we have already added some links to other site, related and unrelated. If you have any questions, clickhereto email me.

Today's Journal Entry Back to top

Entry for 09/29/05 @ 11:19:28 pm

Back in the basement... with another entry in the journal of Walter the Frankenstein monster.

So my mother calls me up tonight. While I am trying to eat dinner no less. I had finally gotten home from work and just sat down to eat some Chinese and the phone rings. She says she is going to make a long story short, but she doesn't even come close.

She was talking to her neighbor and the UPS truck pulls up. My dad signs for a box, sets in the house and proceeds to make dinner. After finally eating their dinner (which I gently remind her that I am trying to do while she is telling me this story) ( which also seems to be completely irrelevant to her) they get a chance to look at the box. Low and behold, it is definitely addressed to my mother and she has no idea what it might be. She hasn't ordered anything in months.

So, they open the darned box and inside is a Mac laptop. She didn't order it. She didn't pay for it. She even called her credit card company and there are no charges to her card.

My dad hops on the Internet to track the package ( on his PC; we have never worked on any Macs; just chance I guess). He find the place that sent the package, but neither is any closer to figuring out how or why they got it. She poses the possibility that she won it from one of the on-line surveys she fills out all the time, but has no recollection of anything involving a free laptop.

And she's asking me what she should do about it. Should she call the company that sent it (with no real packing slip, I might add)? Should she keep it? What should she do?

I don't really have a clue. But what does occur to me is that she's the parent. Right? Aren't our parents supposed to give us (the children) the moral compass for these sorts of decisions as opposed to the other way around? If she's confused and torn on what to do, what makes her think that I have any better ideas?

All I have to say is..... its this sort of parenting that drove me to creating a Frankenstein monster in the first place.

I love you mom and dad.
